Since it’s incorporation into the Miami Metropolitan area, Plantation has expanded into a growing and vibrant municipality with a population exceeding 85,000. Plantations name is derived from the prior owner of the land, the Everglades Plantation Company. The City’s logo, “Where Grass is Always Greener” is omnipresently portrayed around Plantation. Situated among thousands of trees are friendly, safe neighborhoods, unrivalled recreation facilities and a steadfast business economy.

The city of Plantation is affluent in amenities, a competitive and progressive business environment, and beautifully manicured streets. Plantation’s City Hall was used as the backdrop for the film, There’s Something About Mary, which aided in increased recognition and tourism in the City.
